*Ingredients* 6 eggs (separate yolks and whites) 80g milk 60g corn oil (or any neutral oil like vegetable oil) 100g cake flour 50g sugar Lemon juice or a small amount of white vinegar *Instructions* 1. Separate 6 eggs into yolks and whites, keeping the whites in a clean, dry, oil-free bowl. 2. Add 80g milk and 60g corn oil to the yolks and mix well. 3. Add 100g sifted cake flour and stir until smooth. 4. Add a few drops of vinegar or lemon juice to the egg whites. 5. Add 50g sugar while whipping the whites. 6. Beat until stiff peaks form. (a chopstick should stand upright) 7. Fold half of the whipped whites into the yolk batter gently. 8. Pour the mixture back into the remaining whites and fold evenly. 9. Lightly grease the rice cooker pot bottom. 10. Pour the batter in and tap the pot to remove air bubbles. 11. Cook using cake mode for 45 minutes, then rest for 10 minutes. 13. Donald Trump has said the US will blockade the strait of Hormuz, in order to take control of the key shipping lane from Iran, after the failure of peace negotiations between the two countries in Pakistan. US Central Command announced the operation would begin on Monday morning, stating: “Centcom forces will begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at 10am ET, in accordance with the President’s proclamation. The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas”. The head of Iran’s navy called the US blockade threat “ridiculous and funny”, according to state TV. President Trump also repeated earlier threats to bomb Iran’s power plants, water treatment facilities and bridges, if Tehran does not agree to give up its nuclear weapons programme. It follows the collapse of high level peace talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan. The US vice president JD Vance, who led the US team, said Iran had refused to agree that it could never develop nuclear weapons.
